Why We Built This Site
Kansas gives the public access to many court and county records, but Stafford County uses different custodians for different files. The Clerk of the District Court keeps District Court case records, including civil, criminal, probate, divorce, traffic, small-claims, and juvenile case files where public access is allowed. The County Clerk is the county Freedom of Information Officer and keeps Board of County Commissioners minutes, election records, budget and taxation support records, payroll and human resources records, and county public-record routing information. The Register of Deeds keeps land and lien records, while Sheriff / Communications handles local public-safety records.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Stafford County, the Kansas Judicial Branch, any Kansas court, any clerk's office, the sheriff's office, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
